Deutz-Fahr (German pronunciation: [ˌdɔʏtsˈfaːɐ̯]) is a German agricultural machinery manufacturer. It was established in 1968 after the acquisition of the majority of share capital in FAHR, a leading company already producing agricultural equipment in the previous century, by the Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz AG (KHD) group.

In America, the DEUTZ-FAHR brand is distributed by PFG America LLC.

History of the group

With its acquisition of Hürlimann in 1979, the company changed its name to SAME-Lamborghini-Hürlimann (S-L-H). In 1995, the group acquired Deutz-Fahr from the German group KHD, changing name definitively to SAME Deutz-Fahr (SDF). SAME Deutz-Fahr India was founded in 1996.

The Germany-based Deutz-Fahr brand has one tractor model that tops 300 horsepower, the 9 Series TTV Agrotron 9340. A low-revving Deutz diesel engine and a ZF-built CVT transmission combine to deliver power to the wheels in this 60 km/h-capable tractor.
