A new patch for Bloodborne, version 1.09 of the PlayStation 4 action RPG, adds a new way to secure one of the game's rarest materials, Blood Rocks. Those precious stones, which are required to max out weapons to +10 strength, are now available to purchase from the game's Insight Shop, as of today's update.

The max upgrade level for any weapon is +10, and each weapon requires the same amount of materials to be upgraded, so I recommend upgrading the weapons you use the most. You can find the upgrade table in the Hunter's Dream, left of the storage chest.

Each play through you can upgrade 8 special and 13 normal weapon to the maximum level (level 10 for special and 25 for normal). Though you can eventually upgrade to the previous level (level 9 for special and 24 for normal) any number of weapon in each play-through. As you can later buy upgrades materials.
