The Broodmother Lysrix or Broodmother is an end game boss in ARK: Survival Evolved that can be accessed by opening a portal to the Broodmother Arena at an Obelisk or Beacon. It can also appear in Survival of the Fittest.

Appearance[]
The Broodmother is a giant spider that can shoot acid and webs. She can also summon normal, smaller Araneomorphus which will attack anyone near.
The acid increases torpor of anyone hit, and the webs will add a slow effect.
Location[]
The Broodmother is located in the Broodmother Arena beneath the Green Obelisk that is exclusively accessed at an Obelisk and will not naturally spawn.
Taming[]
The Broodmother can only be tamed by using the command:admincheat forcetame. This command can only be used by the admin of the server.
Portal to Arena[]
The following items are required to open the portal.
- 8 Megalodon Teeth
- 4 Tyrannosaurus Arms
- 4 Argentavis Talons
- 2 Sauropod Vertebrae
- Artifact of the Hunter
- Artifact of the Pack
- Artifact of the Clever
- Artifact of the Massive
- Artifact of the Skylord
- Artifact of the Devourer
- Artifact of the Strong
- Artifact of the Immune
Obtain all the required items and locate an Obelisk or Beacon with the imprinted blueprint. A portal to the Broodmother Arena will open.
The Battle[]
It is recommended to find a rock in the arena; when the Broodmother attacks with webs or acid, hide behind it. Then, after the attack, shoot over or around the rock. It can also summon "minion" Araneomorphus.
Loot[]
The Broodmother drops two rewards, a Broodmother Flag and Broodmother Trophy.
Trivia[]
- Prior to the introduction of Boss Arenas, the Broodmother was summoned at an Obelisk instead of opening a portal to a Boss Arena.
