“ | If thou art a true disciple of the Dark Sun, cast aside thine ire, hear the voice of mineself, Gwyndolin, and kneel before me. — Dark Sun Gwyndolin | ” |
Summary[]
Dark Sun Gwyndolin is a child of Lord Gwyn and leader of the Darkmoon Blades, defenders of Anor Londo, city of the Gods. He is named and treated as a feminine character despite being male, largely due to his astounding affinity for magic of the moon, a female profession.
In Dark Souls, he is found in Anor Londo, creating a false air of safety- he casts an illusion of sunlight and strength over the area of Lordran, masking the fact that the first flame is dying. This illusion disappears once Gwynevere, his sister, is killed.
Later, it is revealed by Yorshka, a crossbreed sibling of Gwyndolin and newest captain of the Darkmoon Blades, that Gwyndolin had fallen ill at some point. During this time, unbeknownst to Yorshka, Gwyndolin was captured byPontiff Sulyvahn and fed to Aldrich, Devourer of Gods, granting the latter his namesake as a Lord of Cinder.
