Eyasluna
Best
❘ S
Excels in:
PvE + PvP
30th Anniversary
Slot: Stasis | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Adaptive
PvE God Roll: Outlaw + Headstone
PvP God Roll: Rangefinder + Kill Clip
► One of the most popular and beloved weapons from Destiny 1 has returned and it's even stronger than before. Eyasluna offers god-tier stats and an extremely good perk selection that will help it dominate the Crucible.
Slot: Stasis | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Adaptive
PvE God Roll: Outlaw + Headstone
PvP God Roll: Rangefinder + Kill Clip
Gjallarhorn
Best
❘ S
Excels in:
PvE + PvP
30th Anniversary
Slot: Solar | Ammo: Heavy | Archetype: Exotic
Exotic Perk: "Rounds fired split into tracking cluster missiles upon detonation. Gain increased handling and reload speed when standing near allies. Firing this weapon also grants Wolfpack Rounds to nearby allies wielding non-Exotic Rocket Launchers."
► Gjallarhorn is nowhere as overpowered as it once was but still offers excellent stats and a great exotic perk (especially with the catalyst) that gives it that extra oomph to excel and become the meta option for rocket launcher users.
Slot: Solar | Ammo: Heavy | Archetype: Exotic
Exotic Perk: "Rounds fired split into tracking cluster missiles upon detonation. Gain increased handling and reload speed when standing near allies. Firing this weapon also grants Wolfpack Rounds to nearby allies wielding non-Exotic Rocket Launchers."
Matador 64
Best
❘ S
Excels in:
PvP
30th Anniversary
Slot: Arc | Ammo: Special | Archetype: Precision
PvP God Roll: Perpetual Motion + Opening Shot (also good: Killing Wind)
► Matador 64 is, in my experience, the best Precision shotgun in the game. Its ability to roll with excellent perks such as Opening Shot and Perpetual Motion makes Matador 64 a beast in PvP. It is a staple in my Energy slot if I ever need a shotgun, even in the most competitive of environments.
Slot: Arc | Ammo: Special | Archetype: Precision
PvP God Roll: Perpetual Motion + Opening Shot (also good: Killing Wind)
Lingering Dread
Strong
❘ A
Excels in:
PvE + PvP
Deluxe Edition
Slot: Stasis | Ammo: Special | Archetype: Lightweight
PvE/PvP God Roll: Auto-Loading Holster (also good: Ambitious Assassin) + Chill Clip
► Lingering Dread is the first of its kind. It's the first Special Stasis Grenade Launcher, and it comes with one of the newer Stasis perks, Chill Clip. However, despite the potential nuance that Chill Clip may bring, Lingering Dread doesn't shake up the meta. It is merely another 'pretty good' option.
Slot: Stasis | Ammo: Special | Archetype: Lightweight
PvE/PvP God Roll: Auto-Loading Holster (also good: Ambitious Assassin) + Chill Clip
The Last Breath
Strong
❘ A
Excels in:
PvE
Free-to-Play
Slot: Kinetic | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Adaptive
PvE God Roll: Subsistence (also good: Demolitionist) + Frenzy (also good: Adrenaline Junkie)
► The Last Breath is a must-have auto rifle for PVE. It has all the right perks to excel in everyday PVE activities. And if next season happens to have an Anti-barrier auto rifle mod, you can bet The Last Breath will become meta.
Slot: Kinetic | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Adaptive
PvE God Roll: Subsistence (also good: Demolitionist) + Frenzy (also good: Adrenaline Junkie)
Hero of Ages
Strong
❘ A
Excels in:
PvE
30th Anniversary
Slot: Arc | Ammo: Heavy | Archetype: Vortex
PvE God Roll: Demolitionist (also good: Unrelenting) + Chain Reaction (also good: One for All)
► Hero of Ages is an excellent arc alternative to the fan-favorite Falling Guillotine. Its perk selection is rather niche and leans into an add clearing playstyle with perks such as One for All, Demolitionist, and Chain Reaction.
Slot: Arc | Ammo: Heavy | Archetype: Vortex
PvE God Roll: Demolitionist (also good: Unrelenting) + Chain Reaction (also good: One for All)
Heartshadow
Strong
❘ A
Excels in:
PvE
Deluxe Edition
Slot: Void | Ammo: Heavy | Archetype: Exotic
Exotic Perk: "Heavy attacks made with full Sword energy turn you invisible and fire exploding Void projectiles. Remaining invisible grants this weapon increased damage. Hitting a target with this weapon’s projectiles while invisible weakens them."
► While certainly a niche choice, Heartshadow can be an excellent tool to bring to any PVE content. It can deal good damage while simultaneously providing invisibility to more easily keep you alive. But unlike other, more straightforward options, you'll need to adapt your playstyle in order to use it effectively.
Unforgiven
Strong
❘ A
Excels in:
PvE
Deluxe Edition
Slot: Void | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Aggressive
PvE God Roll: Demolitionist (also good: Feeding Frenzy) + Adrenaline Junkie (also good: Rampage)
► The only SMG in the game that can roll Demolitionist in its first column, Unforgiven is one of the many unique weapons to come from the Duality dungeon. Plus, its second column is full of tons of S-Tier damage and utility perks, making Unforgiven an easy choice for any Void 3.0 build.
Slot: Void | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Aggressive
PvE God Roll: Demolitionist (also good: Feeding Frenzy) + Adrenaline Junkie (also good: Rampage)
A Sudden Death
Strong
❘ A
Excels in:
PvP
Free-to-Play
Slot: Arc | Ammo: Special | Archetype: Aggressive
PvP God Roll: Threat Detector (also good: Slideshot) + Elemental Capacitor
► A Sudden Death's combination of Threat Detector and Elemental Capacitor provides some of the best handling and swap speeds ever seen on an Aggressive frame shotgun. This is one of the top shotguns for PvP players who main Arc subclasses.
Slot: Arc | Ammo: Special | Archetype: Aggressive
PvP God Roll: Threat Detector (also good: Slideshot) + Elemental Capacitor
Darkest Before
Strong
❘ A
Excels in:
PvP
Free-to-Play
Slot: Arc | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Rapid-Fire
PvP God Roll: Surplus (also good: Tunnel Vision) + Rampage (also good: Elemental Capacitor)
► Rapid-Fire pulses are oppressive and excel in medium-range engagements. And while Gridskipper is still great, Darkest Before is the absolute best Rapid-fire currently in the game. It has better base stats and a great sight.
Slot: Arc | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Rapid-Fire
PvP God Roll: Surplus (also good: Tunnel Vision) + Rampage (also good: Elemental Capacitor)
1000 Yard Stare
Strong
❘ A
Excels in:
PvP
30th Anniversary
Slot: Void | Ammo: Special | Archetype: Adaptive
PvP God Roll: Quickdraw (also good: No Distractions) + Snapshot Sights
► One of the best snipers from Destiny 1 returns. With best-in-class stats and excellent perks, 1000 Yard Stare remains a popular sniper among top-tier PVP players. With a fairly low zoom stat, decent sights, and high aim assist, 1000 Yard Stare offers a great combination of lethality and ease of use.
Slot: Void | Ammo: Special | Archetype: Adaptive
PvP God Roll: Quickdraw (also good: No Distractions) + Snapshot Sights
Premonition
Average
❘ B
Shadowkeep
Slot: Void | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: High-Impact
PvP God Roll: Killing Wind (also good: Feeding Frenzy) + Rampage
► Premonition used to be one of the top high-impact pulse rifles for PVP, but has been largely replaced by The Messenger in the kinetic slot and a Shadow Star in the Energy slot.
Slot: Void | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: High-Impact
PvP God Roll: Killing Wind (also good: Feeding Frenzy) + Rampage
A Swift Verdict
Average
❘ B
Free-to-Play
Slot: Void | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Precision
PvP God Roll: Killing Wind (also good: Surplus) + Rangefinder (also good: Kill Clip)
► A Swift Verdict is part of a fairly unpopular archetype: Precision sidearms. There are more lethal options out there, namely lightweight sidearms. Still, if you happen to land a god roll, this weapon can certainly compete in 6v6 PVP modes.
Slot: Void | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Precision
PvP God Roll: Killing Wind (also good: Surplus) + Rangefinder (also good: Kill Clip)
Judgment
Average
❘ B
Free-to-Play
Slot: Solar | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Adaptive
PvE God Roll: Demolitionist + Adrenaline Junkie (also good: Timed Payload)
► Considered underrated by a small portion of the community, Judgment does have some interesting perk combinations that can't be found on many other Hand Cannons. While this gun has found its small place in the game, it's hard to rank Judgment too high because of all the other amazing options.
Slot: Solar | Ammo: Primary | Archetype: Adaptive
PvE God Roll: Demolitionist + Adrenaline Junkie (also good: Timed Payload)
The Long Walk
Average
❘ B
Free-to-Play
Slot: Solar | Ammo: Special | Archetype: Aggressive
PvP God Roll: Clown Cartridge + Firing Line
PvE God Roll: Killing Wind + Snapshot Sights
► While not a bad sniper rifle on paper, The Long Walk is just eclipsed by vastly superior snipers. Frankly, you're better off just farming community favorites such as Uzume RR4 or Beloved.
Slot: Solar | Ammo: Special | Archetype: Aggressive
PvP God Roll: Clown Cartridge + Firing Line
PvE God Roll: Killing Wind + Snapshot Sights
