Elden Ring boasts a massive open world filled with all kinds of fantastical creatures. Elden Ring has earned praise for its enemy variety, as each region in the game features brand-new foes for players to contend with. One of the ways FromSoftware was able to achieve so much enemy variety in the game is by simply resizing some of the existing enemies, as is the case with the gargantuan dragon found in the game's Caelid region.

If Elden Ring players visit Caelid, they can find the Elder Dragon Greyoll, which is quite likely the largest enemy in the entire game. This massive dragon seems like it would make for a serious threat, but it's actually stuck to the ground thanks to Scarlet Rot. As such, Elden Ring players often make a beeline straight to Greyoll so they can attack its hind legs until it dies, netting some easy runes in the process.

In a fascinating new video uploaded by Elden Ring content creator and dataminer Zullie the Witch, players can see just how massive Elder Dragon Greyoll really is. According to the video, Greyoll comes in at around 282 feet when standing on its hind legs, and it has a wingspan of about 856 feet. Greyoll has the same animations as smaller dragons, though Zullie the Witch found that the game struggled to showcase the massive creature, resulting in lag and crashes.

Besides showing off Greyoll, the video also touches on another massive character in Elden Ring, The Great Jar. The Great Jar is a mammoth-sized version of the jar creatures that players encounter elsewhere in the game. Like Greyoll, The Great Jar is found in Elden Ring's foreboding Caelid region, and players can meet it fairly early on in the game. Notably, The Great Jar stands outside one of the empty arena areas that are speculated to be part of some kind of cut content or maybe framework for future DLC.

Another Elden Ring YouTuber, Sekiro Dubi, managed to restore functionality to one of these arenas, discovering some interesting details in the process. The arenas have Sites of Grace inside of them along with sandpits where a gladiator and a lion creature fight to the death. It's speculated that these arenas may be used for future Elden Ring DLC, or it's possible they were meant to be featured in the base game but cut during development. FromSoftware itself has not made any mention of these arenas or their intended purpose, so speculating is all fans can do until more information comes to light.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
