There are often times when you might have to effectively increase your damage against that single absolute beast of a monster you’re going to fight.
Using just about ANY class might otherwise slow down the battle. However, with Solo DPS builds, you can deal a lot of damage. The builds below will also include skill tree images for each weapon so you have an idea of which skill to unlock.
AoE DPS Build
A strength-focused build, with light armor. A good PvP and PvE build. One of the better Melee DPS builds, able to dish out more damage in short bursts.
Best Warhammer Masteries
Clear Out
Your character will swing its hammer that when hits the enemies, knocks them 4 meters back and deals 115% weapon damage.
Shockwave
Your character will slam its hammer in the ground upon executing the skill and cause an earthquake in a 3-meter radius, which deals 80% weapon damage and stuns them for 2 seconds.
Passives to Unlock in Order
- Frailty: Enemies that get hit with the attack will get weakened for 10 seconds and deal lesser damage to you.
- Meteoric Crater: Increases the radius of the earthquake from 3 meters to 4 meters.
Path of Destiny
Slams the hammer in the ground that erupts a wave of energy that deals 110% weapon damage to enemies that come in its way.
Passives to Unlock in Order
- Seismic Waves: Enemies that get hit by the wave will get staggered.
Best Hatchet Masteries
Berserk
Enters a berserk mode that increases your attack damage by 20% for 12 seconds.
Passives to Unlock in Order
- On The Hunt: Movement speed is increased by 20% when in Berserk Mode.
- Berserking Refresh: You gain a portion of your health every 4 seconds to a maximum of 30% of your health.
- Berserking Purge: Any Crowd Control effect on your body will be removed.
- Uninterruptible Berserk: Your attacks cannot be interrupted when in Berserk Mode.
Feral Rush
Causes your character to leap forward and perform two melee attacks, where the first attack deals 115% weapon damage and the second attack deals 130% weapon damage.
Passives to Unlock in Order
- Dispatch: Feral Rush deals 20% more damage when the enemies’ health is below 30%.
- Crippling Strikes: Hitting enemies in the back makes them immobilized for 2 seconds.
Raging Torrent
Allows you to perform four consecutive attacks which deal 90% weapon damage.
Passives to Unlock in Order
- Aggressive Approach: Hitting a target with Raging Torrent gives you 20% movement speed for 6 seconds.
- Final Blow: Perform a Light Attack after using the skill to deal with a 120% weapon damage attack.

You need to keep a ratio of 3:1 between Strength and Constitution to get the most out of this build.
Recommended Armor
For this build specifically, you’re going to need armor that further bolsters your Strength and Constitution. Keep in mind that you’re going to want to keep a bigger focus on Strength, whilst making sure you have enough health to not die immediately
Solo PvE/PvP Build
With a 3:1 ratio of Dexterity: Constitution. This is an intense damage build. A very fast build with great potential for single-target damage, definitely the go-to build for solo PvP and PvE builds for New World.
Best Bow Masteries
Poison Shot
Shoots a poison arrow that creates a cloud of poison in a 3-meter radius for 6 seconds. Enemies that come in its vicinity are damaged for 10% weapon damage every second for 20 seconds.
Passives to Unlock in Order
- Infected Arrows: The poison smoke deals 12% weapon damage per second for 20 seconds.
- Direct Hit: A direct hit with a poison arrow will deal 200% weapon damage.
Rain of Arrows
Shoots multiple arrows that deal 150% weapon damage upon hitting the enemy.
Passives to Unlock in Order
- Barbed Arrows: Arrows will now cause Bleed to enemies that deals 85% weapon damage for 12 seconds.
- Hooked Arrows: Arrows will slow down your targets by 15% for 4 seconds.
Rapid Shot
Shoots three arrows in succession that deal 100% weapon damage for the first two shots and 125% weapon damage on the last shot, which knocks them back.
Passives to Unlock in Order
- Rapid Accuracy: The cooldown for Rapid Shot is reduced by 50% if all arrows hit the same target.
- Final Blow: The third arrow deals 25% extra weapon damage.
Best Spear Masteries
Perforate
Performs three consecutive strikes that deal 70% weapon damage each and reduce enemies’ damage absorption by 5% for 10 seconds.
Passives to Unlock in Order
- Rupturing Strikes: Reduces enemies’ damage absorption by 10% per strike when their health is above 50%.
- Impactful Strikes: Staggers the target if all three of the strikes land.
Skewer
Rush in the forward direction and deal 125% weapon damage to your target. Also applies the Bleed effect on enemies that deal 10% weapon damage per second for 10 seconds.
Passives to Unlock in Order
- Deadly Ambush: Deals 20% more damage against enemies that have full health.
- Follow Through: Increases damage by 20% for 10 seconds when you land a critical hit.
- Deep Wound: The time duration for the Bleed effect is increased by 15 seconds.
Vault Kick
Uses the spear to vault in the forward direction and kicks the target that deals 75% damage and stuns them for 1.5 seconds.
Passives to Unlock in Order
- Relentless Blows: On a successful hit to target with health below 50%, you gain Empower that increases your damage by 20% for 5 seconds.
- Continuous Motion: Reduces the cooldown for other Spear abilities by 30% on a successful hit.
