How to Make these even more protein packed

If you want to make these even more protein packed simply use your favorite protein powder. Use about 2-3 Tablespoons of your favorite protein powder to substitute some of the almond flour.

OR depending on the type of almond butter or nut butter that you use you might need a bit extra dry ingredient to harden these up. I’ve used natural peanut butter in the past with this recipe and while it does work the protein balls are definitely a bit more on the softer side.

I’ve solved that by simply adding a bit of protein powder. Solved. 😉

So do keep that in mind that if your almond butter or nut butter is extra oily you may need to add a bit more almond flour or protein powder to make it a bit more manageable to roll into protein balls. ALSO – allow the mixture to sit about 15-20 minutes before deciding to add more flour/powder as almond flour does take a bit to soak up the moisture.
