What does the dryad say when the world is 0 corrupt? ›

"[Name of World] is completely pure. You have done an amazing job!" The world has no Corruption, Crimson, or Hallow. "The world is in balance."

As soon as you enter Hardmode in Terraria, the world's Corruption, Crimson, and the new Hallow biome all start to expand outwards. Rapidly. If left to their own devices, these biomes will eventually swallow your entire world, destroying your NPC villages and making life generally difficult.

The player can remove corrupt areas by using Purification Powder or turn them into Hallowed areas with Holy Water.

Find your world's Crimson (or Corruption) biome(s) and get to work. Start on the surface and walk along, spraying the Clentaminator into the ground as you go, then head underground, spraying outward through the ground. Try to maintain a slow and steady spray with your Clentaminator, getting every block you can.

Using a block of lava is enough to stop the spread of surface crimson, as it will burn any grass, but this is not confirmed in corruption biomes, and is a good early Hardmode solution to crimson spread. The Hallow can stop your world evil, and NPCs will live in it, but it is very dangerous for early hardmode players.

Hardmode Corruption, Crimson, and Hallow spread is now slowed after killing Plantera instead of any mechanical boss.

It's a matter of opinion. Crimson armor gives you the Health Regen, and some good items are the Crimson Cloud and Panic Necklace. Corruption armor gives you a Melee speed Boost, and some good items are the Vilethorn and Band of Starpower.

Hallow CAN spread over corruption/crimson stone.

"Both the Hallow and Corruption cannot convert each other. So corruption surrounded by hallow will not spread, and likewise the other way around. Hallowed grass will take over Crimson grass, but still stops at Crimstone."

Regardless, once the Wall of Flesh is defeated, more Underground Corruption will be created at and below the cavern layer. It operates similarly to surface Corruption, being composed of Ebonstone and Ebonsand, though it spawns different enemies in Hardmode.

Other than that, the way that infection can spread out to 3 blocks and convert tiles aside from grass is another factor which causes it to spread a lot faster in hardmode. It'll have to be dealt with through quarantining the areas you want to protect or purifying the zones you come across with different tools.

To prevent the spread of Terraria Corruption early on, you can dig a 3-tile wide trench on the edge of biomes.It will grow into a quarantine zone that will cease the further spread when lined with non-corruptible tiles such as wood.
