What happens if the world is fully corrupted in Terraria? ›
As soon as you enter Hardmode in Terraria, the world's Corruption, Crimson, and the new Hallow biome all start to expand outwards. Rapidly. If left to their own devices, these biomes will eventually swallow your entire world, destroying your NPC villages and making life generally difficult.

Find your world's Crimson (or Corruption) biome(s) and get to work. Start on the surface and walk along, spraying the Clentaminator into the ground as you go, then head underground, spraying outward through the ground. Try to maintain a slow and steady spray with your Clentaminator, getting every block you can.

Using a block of lava is enough to stop the spread of surface crimson, as it will burn any grass, but this is not confirmed in corruption biomes, and is a good early Hardmode solution to crimson spread. The Hallow can stop your world evil, and NPCs will live in it, but it is very dangerous for early hardmode players.
