What are the conditions for Shiverthorn? ›

Shiverthorn Seeds can be placed on Snow Blocks and any type of Ice Blocks, empty Clay Pots, or any types of Planter Boxes, even inside water or honey, and will grow into harvestable Shiverthorns. They will grow anywhere, not just in the Snow biome, but will only yield seeds when blooming.

Shiverthorn is a material that is added in 1.2. 4. It is only obtained by Shiverthorn plants that grow in Snow Biomes and Underground Snow Biomes. The Shiverthorns will fully bloom at any point during gameplay, regardless of the weather, however they take a very long time to bloom.

Shiverthorn will always bloom after a period of growth, and unlike other herbs, remain bloomed permanently thereafter. Fully grown Shiverthorn emits a glowing particle effect. Harvesting Shiverthorn while in bloom yields 1-3 Shiverthorn Seeds in addition to the Shiverthorn item.

How to Acquire. Shiverthorn is found in various caves in the world. They are not as common as Kindlevine. When harvested in the world they drop Shiverthorn Seed x1 and Plantmatter x30.

However, indoor farms are still possible, as Jungle plants will grow in front of walls and fences.

An in-game day takes 18 minutes (9 minute day, followed by 9 minute of night), and all flowers take at least a day to reach harvesting stage. And given that day/night-flowers only bloom at that time of day, you can expect to sit through up to 40 minutes of in-game time if you're unlucky.

Blinkroot is a common Herb that grows naturally on Dirt or Mud blocks, regardless of lighting or elevation, so long as there is room for it to grow and the blocks bear no Grass of any kind. It is most commonly found in the Underground Layer and below, due to the general lack of grass in those areas.

A few handfuls of perlite added to regular store-bought cactus soil will do the trick! Crassula 'Moonglow' grows very slowly and doesn't require added fertilizer.

Deathweed can also be planted in Clay Pots and Planter Boxes using Deathweed Seeds. Deathweed blooms during a Blood Moon or a Full Moon at night (7:30 PM to 4:29 AM). The time when it is blooming is the only time that it will drop 1-3 Deathweed Seeds when cut.

You can get Kindlevine seeds from harvesting Kindlevine in the world. You can also acquire them by putting Kindlevine (Item) in a Thresher.

The Underground Jungle is a dense network of small caverns, composed primarily of Mud, pools of Water, Thorny Bushes, and Beehives. It is located below the Surface of the Jungle biome and extends through to the Cavern layer.

Pigrons are purple in the Underground Corruption, pink in the Underground Hallow, and red in the Underground Crimson. Pigrons can only spawn on Snow Blocks, Thin Ice, Ice Blocks, Pink Ice Blocks, Purple Ice Blocks and ( only) Red Ice Blocks.

A Snow biome is defined by the presence of 1500 / 300 or more Snow Blocks, Ice Blocks (including pink, purple, and red variants) or Snow Bricks. This will change the background and music into the Snow biome ones. Below the cavern layer, Ice biome will be created instead.
