Peter the Pumpkin (2024)

Peter the Pumpkin is the main antagonist of the indie horror game, Andy's Apple Farm. He functions as a stand-in for The Entity.

History[]

As The Entity[]

The Entity is a sad*stic supernatural being that started tormenting the Eastwood Family in 1982, particularly after Thomas began developing Andy's Apple Farm. The Entity would be behind the deaths of Louis, Arthur, Thomas, and Jeffrey, allowing itself to attach to Isabella by feeding off her grief.

It would trap its victims' souls in the characters of Thomas' game, functioning as its hell. In the game, Peter is The Entity's stand-in, as a way to torment Thomas as Andy the Apple.

Chapter 1[]

After his friends lock him inside the barn, Andy stumbles upon Peter after finding a lantern. Peter forces him to play tag with him, despite Andy declining since he's looking for his house key. Andy either catches or fails to catch Peter in round 1, and vice versa in round 2.

Christmas Special[]

After Andy opens his present, that being the mutilated head of Kamryn Eastwood, his friends suddenly vanish, and he sees that Peter has returned.

Peter reminds Andy of his previous actions as he tells him to play a game called Hide the Body. Andy tries to shift the blame of his actions onto Peter, but Peter tells him that he should be "fully aware of who is at fault here." After Peter morphs into a dark humanoid form and pursues Andy, Andy manages to evade him.

Happy Valentines Day![]

Peter abruptly appears again, reminding Andy/Thomas that his actions are all his fault.

Rabbit Knight[]

Peter appears as an amalgamation of eyes and tentacles that chases Rory. He's mute during this encounter.

Regular[]

Peter is an orange Anthropomorphic jack-o-lantern Pumpkin with Green Eyes. He wears a light green dress shirt with dark green overalls and white gloves. The overalls are seen to have red and blue patches on them in a certain piece of concept art. He wears a orange knee-high boots and he has been confirmed to be 6 feet and 6 inches tall according to the Andy's Apple Farm discord server.

Entity-possessed Form[]

In the Christmas Special and Happy Valentines Day!, Peter has a single eye, with his head and neck at an angle. His body is black, tall, and skinny. In the valentines video, he gains a mouth with what looks to be needle-like teeth.

Halloween Reskin[]

In the Halloween Reskin, Peter has his eyes and mouth glowing yellow. And he wears a black dress shirt with orange overalls with grey patches and white gloves. He wears an orange knee-high boots.

Personality[]

Peter acts charming when he first meets Andy, but this is quickly revealed to be a façade. As the game progresses, he devolves into being sad*stic and merciless towards Andy, by constantly terrorizing him, chasing him, and reminding him of what he did as Thomas, overall reflecting The Entity.

Trivia[]

• Peter is portrayed by The Entity.
  • Fans formerly believed that Peter was a Police Officer, due to the mention of the Pumpkin County Police Department. This was quickly disproved.
• The Eastwoods lived in Pumpkin County, possibly how Peter got his avatar.
• Peter does not seem to be a character created by Thomas.
  • This is evident by Andy asking, "Who even are you?" before the tag game begins.
• Peter was the 6th character to be added to the game.^[2]
• He wasn't originally planned for the game, but the creator, M36games, wanted to expand on the story more.^[2]
• He was the first character to not be voiced by M36games, instead being voice by YouTuber zachbealetv.^[2]
• One day necromancertwink, the creator of Bauhaus, stated in one of his tweets that Bauhaus and Peter are a canonical couple.^[3] However, he later said that the post was actually a joke. Bauhaus and Peter are NOT in a romantic relationship, but are connected to each other in some way.^[4]
• Peter is one of the few characters to have a mouth in overworld sprite. The rest are Pierre, Cora and Bauhaus.
  • His mouth is noticeably different from the others.
• Peter smells like pumpkin spices and a thrift store.^[5]
• According to M36games, Peter really likes pumpkin pie.^[6]
• Peter listens to the screams of the damned and white noise.^[7][8]
• Humans are his favorite toys he plays with the same way a 6 year old does with Barbie dolls. For example, throwing them at a wall and removing their hair, limbs, etc. ^{[9] [10] [11]}
